So I was transferred from an assault helicopter battalion to a MEDEVAC company. This should prove to be an exciting move as while there is a lack of assaults in this country, what with combat operations ceasing, however people seem to get hurt. I look forward to this new challenge and I admire those who have been doing this job. I look forward to training to become a medevac crew chief in the next week and do some cool things.

My first steps onto Iraq at Balad. Riding in on a C-130 in your gear is ungodly hot, especially for me because I seem to sweat profusely, which is not cute. I set next to some band on a USO tour called candlebox I believe, never heard of them though.
Went to my new unit, pretty excited to do some crew chiefing, which I believe I can totally use as a verb.
Well while I’m over here in the middle east I thought I’d throw some stuff out there, see what sticks, go crazy, if you will. This picture was taken in Kuwait where I have yet to see one object not created by the US Military. Local nationals seem to work on these small camps but I have no clue where they live. I think they just materialize.
It is very hot, but being a dry heat its not that bad. That is all for now.
