This is the first Black Hawk I have ever done maintenance on for real. It was kind of a cool thing considering I hadn’t really touched one since advanced training. I’m hoping within the next couple of day I will start my training on becoming a crew chief so I can do the really fun stuff.

The second picture is of the sun setting behind some of our helicopters, which was kind of cool. Sunsets are cool here due to there being some dust all kicked up so it reflects in interesting ways.

Fun little facts about Iraq include…nothing, its hot and sunny all the time. I am sunburned, but other than that enjoying my time here. Its pretty chill and nothing like Afghanistan.
